APRIL 6, 2003
6:00pm

April 6, 2003 is the first Sunday in April, so that is the evening to have our regular Bible Study group.  We will again be using The Maybery Series with the episodes from the Andy Griffith Show.  Jesus had a sense of humor, didn't He? Just look at who He chose to be His Desciples in this modern and torn world........you and me.  Therefore, it behoves us to study the lessons that are found in scripture in a way that is humorous and enlightening.  The episode for April is "Committment".  Along with committment comes responsibility.  This lesson, as all of them, is appropriate for today's society.

Supper will be provided.  Please call the church office for directions and to allow us to know the amount of food to prepare.

MAY 4, 2003
6:00pm

Sunday Evening Bible Study Using The "Mayberry Series" May 4th, 2003.
The study episode will be about pride.
For most of us, pride is a blindfold that keeps us from seeing stumbling blocks. With pride as our guide, we claim all the credit, disown any weakness and thus become ripe for a fall. After an accomplishment, it's normal to feel elated, but God deserves the glory. When the Holy Spirit fills us, we see the world's rewards as a cheap substitute for God's glory. You should take pride in mainly one thing: Jesus thought you important enough to die for.

Supper will be provided.  Please call the church office for directions and to allow us to know the amount of food to prepare.

JUNE 8, 2003
6:00pm

Sunday evening, June 8, 2003 Bible Study with the Mayberry Series at 6:00 p.m. with dinner.

Accountability

Sometimes, buck passing seems like the new national pastime. Today, most folks avoid accountability. But the Lord directs his people toward it. For a Christian, being accountable means being responsible for doing God's will. Because each person is accountable to God----not to men who can be deceived---we must take it upon ourselves to assume responsibility for our actions. Jesus did not avoid his responsibility and was held accountable at a most severe price.

We will enjoy a supper of the best food money could buy. Your selection of your best covered dish with the best from all the other in attendance will make our supper the best money could buy.

For information or directions call the church office at 747-0479 or use the "MAP TO US" link on the home page.
