Newborns In Need make and donate clothes, quilts, and blankets to needy babies in hospitals, shelters, and crisis centers. Donations of any kind are accepted: yarn, fabric, sewing notions, cribs, gently used clothes and blankets, hygiene products, and anything else for babies. | Young at Heart
The Young at Heart is a group of people of all ages that are "Young At Heart" meeting at 11:00am on the third Thursday of each month for Christian fun and enjoyment. A lunch is provided at noon. Lutheran Social Services
Since 1983, LSS has provided food, clothing, medical care, counseling, and other vital services for people in need. LSS services help break the cycle of poverty and abuse. They help young and old live with a sense of worth as human beings. Since inception, LSS has fed over 1.5 million meals to the hungry in the low country. LSS volunteers also maintain a clothes house, prescription ministry, teen angel program, and care for the "little people" that are so often over looked. St. Thomas Episcopal supports and assists LSS by collecting funds, materials and providing volunteers. |
